STOCKHOLM FASHION WEEK

I have to say that some Swedish brands have finally taken a step forward. From simplicity and sometimes boring to interesting asymmetric lines and volume.

FIFTH AVENUE SHOE REPAIR
The label was founded 2004 by Astrid Olsson and Lee Cotter. The concept is inspired by an old shoemakers shop in London that has gone from generation to generation passing on knowledge in craftsmanship and traditions of this old profession. Their 2009 Collection is very beautiful with female lines - I Like. Also their concept store in Sture Gallerian, Stockholm is really cool, with concept dresses spinning around in the dressing room.

ACNE
I haven't really been as found of Acne as the rest of Sweden...but I like this collection a lot. I don't think they have really come up with anything new - but I'm happy to see that this style will still be hot for 2009 as well, I like the oversized tops, cool shiny socks or tights and high heel or even plateau shoes.

Other interesting designs I thought Karin Wester and Dagmar had, also feminine but it a cool way. I think that is what we all women will be looking for this year. More feiminine styles but with some attitude. Why we Swedish women need the attitude to it - I don't know...something in our genes - we can't just only be feminine....that's the way we were brought up.
